Sponsorship by institutional members
The Swiss Society for Biomaterials is a non-profit scientific society with the objectives, among others, to
- encourage progress in the field of biomaterials,
- promote the propagation of scientific information and
- stimulate the creation of research programs on biomaterials in Switzerland.
These objectives are summarized in our charter. The SSB is affiliated to the European Society for Biomaterials and co-operates with other national and international scientific organizations.
In order to further intensify the activities of our society, we are approaching the leading companies and manufacturers of products based on or related to biomaterials. What we offer is an institutional membership to our society in two categories:
- Small-Medium sized enterprises:
Sponsoring membership
CHF 300.— min.
- Large enterprises:
Major sponsoring membership
CHF 500.— min.
These contributions are annual. The SSB plans to use the contributions to finance:
- Invitation of internationally renowned scientists for plenary lectures at the SSB Annual Meeting
(or other meetings) - "Best poster / oral presentation at the Annual Meeting" (or other meetings) and related prizes
- Fellowship and grants to student members
- Possible projects in promising fields of biomaterials applications
What we offer is a link between the SSB web page to the web page of the contributing organization or company, and to publish the respective logos in invitations and conference announcements with reference to the kind of membership (sponsor, major sponsor).
The General Assembly are informed yearly about activities financed out of the contributions.
